Government Software Development Perth
Custom software for WA Government agencies, local councils, and public sector organisations. CUAICTS2021 panel supplier — engage directly without open tender.
CUAICTS2021 Panel Supplier
Nano Solutions is an approved supplier on the WA Government's Common Use Arrangement for ICT Products and Services (CUAICTS2021) — Contractor #225. This means WA Government departments, agencies, local councils, and most universities can engage us directly under the panel arrangement without running a full open tender.
CUAICTS2021 divides ICT work into three categories: planning, consultancy and advisory; implementation; and operations and management. Engagement is via a quote request under the panel terms, which is a 1–2 week procurement timeline rather than the multi-month open tender process.
For full panel details, categories, and engagement process, see our dedicated CUAICTS2021 page.
What We Build for Government
- Citizen-facing digital services: Public portals, online forms, payment processing, and case management systems that meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards and the WA Government Digital Services Policy.
- Internal business systems: Workflow automation, document management, reporting dashboards, and staff portals that replace manual processes and spreadsheet-based operations.
- Data and integration platforms: Connecting departmental systems, inter-agency data exchange, and legacy system modernisation. See our Systems Integration practice.
- Application modernisation: Migrating legacy Classic ASP, VB.NET, and MS Access applications to modern, maintainable architectures. See Software Modernisation.
- Drupal hosting and support: Drupal 11 hosting, Drupal 10 upgrade planning, tested updates, custom functionality, monitoring, backup and recovery. See Drupal Managed Hosting.
- Security assessments: Application penetration testing, secure code review, and compliance validation against the ISM and Essential Eight. See App Security.
Security and Compliance
Government software requires a higher security bar than commercial projects. We align to:
- Australian Government ISM: Information Security Manual controls for applications handling Official and Official: Sensitive information.
- Essential Eight Maturity Model: ACSC's eight mitigation strategies — we assess your current maturity level and implement controls to reach your target.
- WCAG 2.1 AA: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines compliance for all public-facing government services.
- Australian Privacy Principles (APPs): Privacy Act 1988 obligations for personal information handling.
- IRAP-ready architectures: For PROTECTED-level workloads we design to deploy onto cloud platforms that already hold a current IRAP assessment at that classification. The platform's assessment is the platform's; what we take responsibility for is the application and the environment we build on top of it.
Government Clients
- City of Fremantle: Custom software delivered under the CUAICTS2021 panel arrangement with ISM-aligned security controls.
- WA state agencies: Software development and application security engagements via the panel.
- Surf Life Saving Australia: While not a government body, SLSA operates under government safety frameworks and their platforms (BeachSafe, Operations App, Results) require government-grade reliability and audit standards.
Procurement-Ready
We maintain a current Capability Statement covering ABN, insurances (professional indemnity, public liability), CUAICTS2021 panel categories, team CVs, case studies with referee contacts, and ISO 27001-aligned controls. Available on request for tender evaluations.
See How We Work for our fixed-price scoping approach — designed for government procurement processes that require firm quotes before budget approval.
