The Challenge

People with disabilities often face barriers accessing relationships and sexuality education resources. SECCA (Sexuality Education Counselling and Consultancy Agency) needed a digital platform that could deliver their extensive library of over 2,000 educational illustrations in an accessible, easy-to-use format across all devices — without requiring app store downloads or paid subscriptions.

The Solution

Nano Solutions, together with Media On Mars, developed the SECCA App as a Progressive Web App (PWA) — a free, accessible resource supporting relationships and sexuality education for people of all ages and abilities. The app is live at app.secca.org.au and used by educators and counsellors nationwide.

Technology

Built as a Progressive Web App (PWA) using Vue.js and modern web APIs for cross-platform accessibility without app store dependencies. The app features an optimised image delivery system with lazy loading, responsive design for all screen sizes, and service worker-powered offline capability so resources remain accessible even without an internet connection.
